ecoi.net collects information for 160 countries from 120 sources on a daily basis to facilitate access to country of origin information relevant in refugee status determination procedures. The list of sources was currently revised and updated and is now available for download.

Since going online in 2001 ecoi.net became the most comprehensive public and free of charge portal of country of origin information for all parties involved in refugee status determination procedures. ecoi.net stands for quality and currency. Currently the portal is updated with more than 1,200 documents per month. The Researcher is a new initiative of the Refugee Documentation Centre. It is an electronic newsletter distributed by e-mail and published quarterly. The purpose of The Researcher is to provide our clients and interested parties with up to date information on developments in the RDC. The newsletter will cover topics related to Country of Origin Information and legal research. We hope to feature a specialist article on a particular theme in each issue. We will also let you know of recent library acquisitions, new resources and relevant RDC statistics. We welcome your feedback on any of these matters.
