The European Journalism Center released a handbook on the verification of digital content, which is freely available online. While it is primarily targeted at journalists and aid responders, it provides valuable advice for anyone researching user-generated content / social media.
We now cover more sources regularly on ecoi.net: three additional UN committees, two additional UN missions, the Inter Press Service news agency, the Women News Network, and Caucasian Knot.
The Researcher is published three times a year by the Refugee Documentation Centre (RDC) in Ireland. It is a publication which combines academic papers, summaries of caselaw, guides to new legislation, reports of conferences, articles on RDC services and items of country of origin information.
The sources have been compiled by the UK COI Service on a country by country basis from contributions provided by Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, the UK, USA, and also ecoi.net.
