HHC publishes Study on Legal Requirements for Quality of COI in the EU

The Hungarian Helsinki Committee’s (HHC) study “Country Information in Asylum Procedures – Quality as a Legal Requirement in the EU” is published in the framework of the trans-national project “COI Network III – Training, Master Class, Good Practice”. It investigates how substantive quality standards of researching and assessing COI appear in the form of legal requirements in the EU.

COI and Women

Recognising this Asylum Aid has drawn together practical guidance on undertaking research on women’s gender related claims, based on their experience of working directly with women asylum seekers, their legal representatives and supporters.

The first issue of “The Researcher”, the irish Refugee Documentation Centre’s newsletter (March 2006)

The Researcher is a new initiative of the Refugee Documentation Centre. It is an electronic newsletter distributed by e-mail and published quarterly. The purpose of The Researcher is to provide our clients and interested parties with up to date information on developments in the RDC. The newsletter will cover topics related to Country of Origin Information and legal research. We hope to feature a specialist article on a particular theme in each issue. We will also let you know of recent library acquisitions, new resources and relevant RDC statistics. We welcome your feedback on any of these matters.
