As part of our changes to celebrate ecoi.net’s 10th anniversary, we are establishing a blog on which we will inform about new developments regarding ecoi.net’s work, important new publications* and about news in the field of COI research.
ecoi.net went online in 2001. We now introduce “featured topics” for focus countries and improved the site’s performance. Look forward to further developments in the coming weeks.
To facilitate access to our personalisation features, most notably the research baskets, you can now choose to “stay logged in”.
In September, ecoi.net conducted a usability survey. Click on “read more” to see how our users responded.
Texts from sources which granted us permission to do so are from now on published directly on ecoi.net. Metadata such as publication date, suggested citation, etc are displayed in a standardised form.
September 2009 in Berlin.
The new search interface gives you more room to formulate your search query. We also introduce a Moderated Search, based on the ecoi.net COI Thesaurus. This new function will help you to refine your search.
The Austrian Centre for Country of Origin & Asylum Research and Documentation, the department of the Austrian Red Cross running ecoi.net, was founded 10 years ago. It has since provided independently, neutrally and objectively researched information on countries of origin of asylum seekers to all parties involved in refugee status determination procedures.
