New features on ecoi.net: new search interface, “cite as” suggestions

Several updates to the ecoi.net user-interface are now online. You can now navigate through our full-text search with your browser’s back- & forward-buttons and link to search results. A “cite as” suggestion is available for each document and some design changes have been made. Read on for more.

To improve ecoi.net’s usability, several changes in interface and design went online today:

  • the full-text search now loads search results on new pages, making it possible to navigate back and forth with your browser’s back- & forward-buttons
  • you can copy&paste the link to search results from the browser’s address bar
  • a “cite as” suggestion is available for each document for you to copy&paste it into your reference list
  • the lists of documents are more clearly arranged due to a design change
  • some features are now explained with tooltip boxes when you move your mouse over them
