In a 23 February 1999 telephone interview, the secretary of communications of the New Socialist Party (Nuevo Partido Socialista), previously known as the Cardenista Front Party for National Reconstruction (Partido del Frente Cardenista de la Reconstrucción Nacional, PFCRN), in Mexico City stated that he is unaware of a political group called the Frente Cardenista de Liberación Nacional.
