No reports on the Frente Cardenista de
Liberación Nacional could be found among the sources
consulted by the Research Directorate.
In a 23 February 1999 telephone interview,
the secretary of communications of the New Socialist Party (Nuevo
Partido Socialista), previously known as the Cardenista Front Party
for National Reconstruction (Partido del Frente Cardenista de la
Reconstrucción Nacional, PFCRN), in Mexico City stated that
he is unaware of a political group called the Frente Cardenista de
Liberación Nacional.
This Response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is
not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any
