In addition, please find an article from The Economist, "The hunted turn hunters", 5 November 1983. Although this is later than the time period indicated, it does show guerrilla offensives in San Miguel (map). One Amnesty International report lists a man from San Miguel, who was allegedly detained by armed civilians.
