and Residents of the Historic Centre of Mexico City, on any support
offered by the authorities to this organization or to street
vendors, and on any record of political corruption connected to
either group could not be found among the sources consulted by the
DIRB. However, please find attached one news article that covers
the 1993 dispute between street vendors and merchants in the centre
of Mexico City.
This Response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does
not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular
