There is no currently available information in the sources regularly consulted by the IRBDC on the interest of the military with or in the Ministry of Health in pre-revolutionary Iran. The formation of a military government on 6 November 1978 [ Dilip Hiro, Iran Under the Ayatollahs (London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1987), p. 81.] would likely have placed the Ministry of Health, as well as all other Ministries, under the auspices of the military.
