15 Killed As Taliban Attacks Rival Commander's Home

Pakistani Taliban have attacked the home of rival militant commander Mullah Nabi Hanafi in northwestern Pakistan, with at least 15 militants killed in the subsequent fighting. 

Security sources say Hanafi was among 10 wounded militants taken to a hospital.

They say a suicide bomber from Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) rammed a car bomb into Hanafi's compound.

That was followed by an assault by TTP gunmen. Two suicide bombers also launched a second attack but were killed in a shoot-out.

Hanafi had been a Taliban commander but broke away from the TTP in 2009 and and his militia became a Pakistani Taliban splinter group.

His compound, which reportedly was destroyed in the battle, is in the Spin Tal region on the border of North Waziristan tribal area and the Hungu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
