List of Bichara Idriss Haggar's family
members and relatives, and on their whereabouts could not be found
among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
According to a 10 January 1993 Agence
France Presse report, Bichara Idriss Haggar and Bichara Digui were
supporters of Abbas Koty, a former Chadian minister. The three of
them were arrested in January 1993 in Cameroon as they were
travelling in a minibus carrying weapons destined to guerillas
operating in southern Chad (ibid.).
A 14 September 1994 AFP report states that
Bichara Idriss Haggar succeded to Abbas Koty as head of the Conseil
national pour le redressement (CNR).
