According to the 1997 edition of The World of Leaning the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin in 1997 was Professor A.G. Onokerhoraye. The present Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin is Professor Abhulimen Anao (University of Benin 14 Nov. 2002). Professor Abhulimen Anao has been the Vice-Chancellor since February 1999 (ibid n.d.).
