Laisues (Laesues) Lyga Party (LL), profile and relationship with current government, treatment of members and available protection [LTU32627.E]

No information on the Laisues (or Laesues) Lyga Party (LL) could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

However, a special page on the 1996 parliamentary elections in Lithuania on the Kaunas University of Technology's Department of Public Administration Website provides information on a political organization called Lietuvos Laisves Lyga (LLL), or Lithuanian Freedom League, led by Antanas Terleckas. According to this source of information, the LLL is "a rather small but radical political organization in the country."

No information on the relations between the LLL and the government, nor on the treatment of its members by the Lithuanian authorities could be found among the sources consulted by the Research directorate.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
