According to a 10 January 1990 report from
the Chicago Tribune,
Keeping the flame of hope for a homeland in
Mesopotamia alive is a group of Assyrians in the U.S. and around
the world who call themselves the Bet-Nahrain Democratic Party.
This Response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does
not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular
claim to refugee status or asylum.
