Information on the identity of the Bulgarian National Biathlon team members competing in 1993 and 1994 World Cup competitions [BGR19886.E]

Information on the identity of members of the Bulgarian National Biathlon team were obtained from official World Cup competition results maintained at the office of Biathlon Canada in Ottawa during 27 February 1995 visit. Team members are listed according to competition, beginning with the last competition of the 1993-94 season. Please note that there are slight variations in the spelling of competitor's names as recorded in the official results.

Bulgaria did not field any entries at the Canmore, Alberta and Hinton, Alberta competitions. (15-20 March 1994 and 10-13 March 1994).

At the Lillehammer World Cup competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadejda Alexieva, Iva Chkodreva, Radka Popova, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. Krassimir Videnov was the sole member of the men's team (19 Feb. 1994).

At the Antholzertal/Valle Anterselva competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadejda Alexiewa, Iva Shkodreva, Radka Popova, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. Spas Zlatev was the sole member of the men's team (20-23 Jan. 1994).

At the Ruhpolding competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadejda Alexieva, Iva Shkodreva, Radka Popova, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. Spas Zlatev was the sole member of the men's team (13-16 Jan. 1994).

At the Pokljuka competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadejda Alexiewa, Iva Shkodreva, Rapka Repova, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. The men's team consisted of Spas Zlatev, Krasimir Videnov and Evgeni Permiakov (14-19 Dec. 1993).

At the Badgastein competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadejda Alexiewa, Iva Shkodreva, Rapka Pepova, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. The men's team consisted of Spas Zlatev, Krasimir Videnov and Evgeni Permiakov (7-12 Dec. 1993).

Four biathlon World Cup competitions were held in early 1993 as part of the 1992-93 competition season; Bulgarian team members are identified below.

At Kontiolahti the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadezda Alexieva, Iva Schkodreva, Maria Manolova and Silvana Blagoeva. There was no men's team at this competition (16-21 Mar. 1993).

At the östersund competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadezda Alexieva, Iva Schkodreva, (also Iwa Schkodreva), Silvana Blagoeva and Maria Manolova. There was no men's team at this competition (11-14 Mar. 1993).

At the Lillehammer competition, the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadezda Alexieva, Iwa Schkodreva, Maria Manolova and Silvana Blagoeva. There was no men's team at this competition (4 Mar. 1993).

At the Borovets competition, the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadezda Alexieva, Iva Schkodreva, Maria Manolova, Silvana Blagoeva, Ekaterina Dafovska, Sofia Sivakova and Valentina Peitchinova. The men's team consisted of: Krasimir Videnov, Spas Zlatev, Evgeni Permiakov, Boiko Popov, Todor Mashov, and Georgi Ignatov (6-14 Feb. 1993).

At the Antholzertal/Valle Anterselva competition the following persons competed for the Bulgarian women's biathlon team: Nadezda Alexiewa, Iva Shkodrava, Silvana Blagoeva, Ekaterina Dafovska, and Maria Manolova. The men's team consisted of Spas Zlatev, Krasimir Videnov and Boiko Popov (21-24 Jan. 1993).

At the Oberhof/Thuringen competition there were no Bulgarian competitors (14-17 Jan. 1993).
