Information on harassment of Ahmadis in Karachi and Lahore by the Jamaat-i-Islami or its student wing, the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulab, is currently not available to the IRBDC in Ottawa.

However, the attached Responses to Information Request PAK10416 of 4 March 1992 and PAK10351 of 19 February 1992 and their attachments may be noteworthy. In addition, please find attached a newsletter of 21 October 1991 published by the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam - Canada, which lists acts of harassment against Ahmadis, and excerpts of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Newsletter on the situation of Ahmadis in Pakistan.
