Information on a 30 November 1996 political rally in Kumasi could not be found be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.

However, attached are articles that refer to a 1 December 1996 clash between National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters and New Patriotic Party (NPP) members at Old Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi. The articles state that one NDC supporter was lynched NPP members during the clash.
