Update to Response to Information Request POL27067.E of 10 June 1997 on whether there are organized crime rings in the Roma community targeting non-Roma, and if so, on the types of crimes [POL28062.E]

According to a letter sent to the Research Directorate on 17 July 1997 by a researcher with the European Roma Rights Center (ERRC) in Budapest, "the ERRC has no information about organised crime rings within the Roma community in Poland."

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
