No reports of employees of Canadian or other Western embassies being approached or targeted by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

According to an official at the Embassy of Canada in Bogota, after consultation with security staff, there have been no reports of local employees of the Embassy of Canada or of "other western nations" being approached or targeted by FARC (22 Aug. 2002).
