No information on whether the Mann/Amritsar faction of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has an office, workers and membership in Delhi, or whether it is concentrated solely in Punjab, could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
According to Political Handbook of the World 1998, "while contesting elections nationally, the Akali Dal's influence is confined primarily to Punjab..." (1998, 416).
