July 21, 2012
A bodyguard for Iraqi Vice President Khudayr al-Khuzaie has been shot dead in Baghdad, security and medical officials said.
Khuzaie, one of Iraq's two vice presidents, was not in the area when several gunmen fired on his bodyguard from a passing car in Baghdad's Karrada neighborhood.
Another of Khuzaie's bodyguards was wounded.
In a separate attack, at least six people were killed when a bomb exploded as a military passed in the northern city of Mosul.
Four of those killed were civilians and two were soldiers.
Three other soldiers were reported wounded in the attack.
