Information on whether the government of Egypt would exclude individuals from military service because they are suspected of being members of an outlawed Muslim militant organization [EGY26130.E]

The attached 5 April 1997 letter sent by E-Mail by a representative of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) states that "those suspected of being members of the outlawed Islamist militant groups ... are excluded from the military service."
