A Moscow court sentenced three men to lengthy prison terms on July 24 for "plotting an arson attack on a local military conscription center" in the northwestern city of Vyborg last year. The Second Military District Court found Yevgeny Lagoida and Eldar Voskresensky guilty of planning a terrorist act and sentenced them to six years and 13 years in prison, respectively. Yury Zagurskikh was handed 11 years in prison on a charge of organizing terrorist activities.
