In correspondence with the Research Directorate, a representative of the Eritrean Consulate General in Toronto indicated that the following stamps can be included in Eritrean birth certificates:
- "head of public registration office";
- "division head of public registration," which may vary depending on the zone, the city or the town the person is from;
- "Public Census, Cemetry and S/Reformation";
- "Ministry of Foreign [A]ffairs, Consular [S]ervices, and [C]ommunity [D]epartments," which is usually used to verify the authenticity of the birth certificate;
- "Luul Sium Authentication Unit," which is the "Authentication unit head at the MOFA [Ministry of Foreign Affairs], Consular Services" (Eritrea 30 Nov. 2018).
