However, Keesing's states that "on Nov. 25,
Chinese forces began a large-scale amphibious military exercises in
coastal areas of Fujian province opposite Taiwan (Nov. 1995). The
same source added that the Taiwan government accused China of
attempting to of intimidate Taiwanese voters prior to the
legislative elections called for December 1995 (ibid.).
