According to Political Parties of Africa
and the Middle East: A Reference Guide, the Social Democratic
Party (SDP) executive in 1992 was as follows: Alhaji Baba Gana
Kinjibe (chairman), Augustus Babalola (deputy chairman) and Alexis
Anielo (national secretary) (1993, 220). An IPS report also
mentions Musa Yar'adua as a leading member of the SDP (15 Sept.
1993), and a BBC Summary report mentions Alhaji Abujidado as a
prominent member of the Social Democratic Party in Kaduna State (25
Aug. 1993).
This response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does
not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular
claim to refugee status or asylum.
