Specific information on private radio
stations operated in Kaduna in 1990 by Muslim groups could not be
found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
According to a Radio Kudirat Nigeria report
of 8 October 1996, the managing director of Kaduna State Media
Corporation, Mr. Felix Sanda, "debunked claims that Radio Kaduna
was never jammed by El Zak-Zaky's Muslim Brotherhood pirate radio
station as claimed by the junta." The Research Directorate is
unable to find further information on the pirate radio station
operated by the Muslim Brotherhood.
This Response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is
not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any
particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the
list of sources consulted in researching this Information
Request.
