The value of the Japanese Yen for the month of June 1989 is provided in the attached sheet from the Bank of Canada. These are the rates quoted at noon of each day. According to this quotation, the high for the month was on 23 June (.008599), and the low occurred during the period 12 June through 16 June (.008016 on 16 June).

According to a representative of the Japanese Embassy, there are 11 or 12 national holidays celebrated during the year, however, none of them fall in June or July. [ Embassy of Japan, 5 February 1990.]
