According to a document contained on the Websites of both the "Open City of Fuzhou" and the China Online Trade Fair of Export Commodities with Foreign-Invested Enterprises, the jurisdiction of Fuzhou Municipality covers a total area of 12,000 square kilometres with a total population of 5.7 million (n.d.; n.d.). It consists of five districts, two cities and six counties, of which Lianjiang in one (ibid.).
