The fundamentalist Bhindranwale's Dal Khalsa was banned in 1982. According to Ian Mulgrew, journalist and author of Unholy Terror: The Sikhs and International Terrorism (1988), the members of the group that operated under Bhindranwale's Dal Khalsa might still be active in other groups now, if they are still alive (Mulgrew 15 March 1991).
