Although numerous reports state that the National University of San Salvador is highly politicized with Salvadorean government forces considering it a centre of guerrilla activity, and cases of intimidation and forced collaboration by the FMLN have been reported in El Salvador (please consult the IRBDC's Compendium of Information Requests for previous responses related to the subject), specific references to cases of threats or abuses against female students by guerrilla organizations in the abovementioned university in 1989 could not be found among the sources currently available to the IRBDC.
