Dokument #1015390
IRB – Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (Autor)
In a 3 October 2002 telephone interview, an adviser in the Department of International Affairs of the Office of the Attorney General (Fiscalía General de la Nación) in Colombia provided the following information. The adviser stated that there are no formal documents given to a person lodging a complaint with the office. The person can lodge a complaint in writing, in person, by telephone, by fax, by Internet or by electronic mail. A formal complaint should include as much information as possible: the name of the person making the complaint, details of the reported crime, and all other relevant elements of the case. Documents to fill out after making the initial complaint depend on the nature of the complaint and the type of crime being reported. For example, witnesses may need to submit written declarations on the crime.
