1) Attached please find two versions of Section 102 as they appear in The Criminal Code of the People's Republic of China (1982, 52) and The Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China (1984, 38).
Although the only noticeable difference between these two versions of the Criminal Law/Code is the wording of articles and not their content, the IRBDC consulted a representative of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ottawa to determine which of the above-mentioned versions was in force. The representative was unable to offer any clarification.
2) The Criminal Litigation Law of the People's Republic of China is currently unavailable to the IRBDC.
