Gunmen Attack Shi'ite Mosque In Kabul

Afghanistan's intelligence agency says its agents shot dead two Pakistanis who opened fire on Afghan worshippers at a Shi'ite Muslim mosque in Kabul.

The agency said in a statement three worshippers were wounded in the attack early on September 5. The gunmen were wearing Afghan police uniforms.

Both were killed in an exchange of fire.

The Afghan government often accuses the Pakistani government and its intelligence service of sheltering militants and helping them carry out attacks in Afghanistan.

On a visit to Islamabad last week, Afghan President Hamid Karzai urged the Pakistani government to "facilitate peace talks" between his government and the Taliban.
