A leader of a pro-government Sunni tribe in Iraq’s Anbar Province says Islamic State militants have carried out another mass killing against his clan, raising to more than 200 the number of tribesmen, women, and children that have been executed recently.

Sheikh Naim al-Gaood says IS militants on November 2 publicly executed 50 more members of his Al-Bou Nimr tribe at Ras al-Maa, a village where tribe members fled after IS militants overran the town of Hit.

He said the IS militants were still holding about 125 tribe members captive at Ras al-Maa.

Members of the Al Bou Nimr tribe have been fighting alongside Iraqi government forces against the IS militants.

The IS militants have continued to seize territory in Anbar Province in recent weeks despite being targeted by U.S.-led coalition air strikes.
