Journalist Stabbed In Moscow

MOSCOW – Moscow police say an investigation has been launched into the stabbing of a journalist who works for a radio station known for its coverage of Russia's political opposition.
Hospital officials said journalist Sergei Aslanian of Ekho Moskvy radio sustained several stab wounds late on May 28 when an unknown assailant attacked him with a knife after he had been called to the front door of his apartment building.
Aslanian had surgery and has been hospitalized.
Doctors say his condition is stable and his life is out of danger.
According to Moscow police, investigators are examining several leads, including suggestions that the attack might have been connected with Aslanian’s professional activities.
