Information on whether the Soviet Army in Ukraine is drafting men [UKR15106]

The DIRB has no currently available information on this specific subject. It would appear from the attached article from RFE/RL Research Report (18 June 1993) that the "Soviet Army" no longer exists but has been replaced by the CIS or national armies. An addendum to the report states that "CIS defense ministers...on 15 June [1993]...had decided to abolish the CIS joint military command" (18 June 1993, 8).
