IRB – Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (Author)
According to a representative of the
Women's Study Centre in Kiev, custody of children is generally
given to women (6 Apr. 1995). Even though there is a law on alimony
and the family, she pointed out that there is no mechanism to force
the ex-husband to support his child (ibid.).
