According to The Europa Year Book the Somali ambassador to France in 1968 was Abdi Aden (1968, 567); the post was held in 1969 by Ami Scido Abdi (1969, 627); and in 1970 by Ami Scido Abdi (1970, 660). For 1971, The Middle East and North Africa Year Book lists Mahmoud Muhammad Hassan as Somali ambassador to France (1971, 645).

In contrast to the above information, The Middle East and North Africa Year Book lists Ali Shedo Ali as the Somali ambassador to France in 1968 (1969, 595).

The Somali ambassadors to Saudi Arabia for the same period according to The Middle East and North Africa Year Book were as follows: 1968 Hassan Aden (1969,595); 1969 Hassan Aden (1970, 612); 1970 Hassan Aden (1971, 625) 1971 Ahmad Sheikh Muhammad Issa (1972, 520). For the same period The Europa Year Book only lists a Somali ambassador to Saudi Arabia for 1970; his name was Haj Ahmad Aden Jolid (1970, 1261).

A December 1992 US News and World Report article mentions Ali Shido Habdi as being a former Somali ambassador to France and Saudi Arabia, but no years are provided (21 Dec. 1992).
