No reference to the voting table president (presidente de mesa) named in the information request or reports of attacks or plots against a voting table president in the Department of Ica, or in its capital city of the same name, or a listing of persons staffing voting tables by locality, could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. Please note that the 2000 presidential elections reportedly had 88,787 voting tables nationwide (Cronología Andina Dec. 2000), and that these consisted of two rounds of voting, one on 8 April and one on 28 May (Elecciones Perú 3 June 2000; ibid. 22 May 2000).
