Information on whether it is difficult for an Ahmadi to become a resident in Rabwah and whether there are criteria to fulfil prior to becoming a resident in that city [PAK17725.E]

According to a representative of the Ahmadi Movement in Islam in Maple, Ontario, there are no government regulations pertaining to residence in Rabwah for Ahmadis (28 June 1994). People who can find a place to live can reside in Rabwah (ibid.). The representative adds that there are many vacant houses in Rabwah which can be rented. The DIRB does not currently have corroboration on this information.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
