In an article on the sectarian faction
Sipah-e-Mohammed, published by The Herald, the Imamia
Students Organization is described as a Shia group closely
affiliated to the Teriq-e-Jafria group (June 1994, 37). This
article reports that the ISO fragmented into small groups after the
death of Alama Arif Hussain al-Hussaini, leader of Teriq-e-Jafria
(ibid.) "The Sipah-e-Mohammed was formed after the ISO became too
violent for its own good" (ibid.). For further information, please
