Please find attached a number of documents
that provide information on the results of the state assembly and
gubernatorial elections of December 1991.
As per the information provided in your
request form, the information on the election results for Lagos
State provided by Africa Confidential in its 20 December
1991 issue are corroborated by the Africa Research Bulletin
issue of December 1991 (mistakenly labelled November 1991 in the
photocopied page) and the articles of West Africa attached
to this Response. Africa Confidential did not publish a
correction notice on the subject in subsequent issues. Also
indicated in some of the attached articles is that Chief Dapo
Sarumi was disqualified from participating in the referred
gubernatorial elections.
