The Juvenile Revolutionary Front of Queretaro, including anti-government activities and treatment by authorities, and its relations with indigenous people and their land (1996-1997) [MEX31595.E]

The only published reference to the Juvenile Revolutionary Front (Frente Juvenil Revolucionario, FJR) of Queretaro found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate is an entry on the Internet Website of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (Partido Revolucionario Institucional, PRI) of Mexico. The document lists the organizational structure of the PRI for the various states of Mexico, including Queretaro. For the state's Juvenile Revolutionary Front it only lists its current president, León de Jesús Ramírez Hernández (PRI 19 Feb. 1999).

Various 1997 news reports from the Mexican dailies La Jornada and Excelsior refer to the national FJR, to its then-president, Enrique Padilla Sanchez, and to gubernatorial elections in Queretaro in July 1997 when the PRI incumbent lost the election to the candidate of the National Action Party (Partido de Acción Nacional, PAN). However, no references to the FJR could be found among these. Additional information on the July 1997 state elections in Queretaro can be found in MEX28922.E of 11 March 1998.
