International Prison Watch in France (3
July 1998), the Committee For the Human Rights For Iranian Refugees
(CHAIR) in New York (8 July 1998) and the Danish Refugee Council in
Copenhagen (13 July 1998) are unaware of the release of political
prisoners from the Afsarieh prison on 25 and 28 September 1997.
This Response was prepared after
researching publicly accessible information currently available to
the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is
not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any
particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the

Request.
