The following information was provided by the Programme Director for Save the Children (SCF) in Accra, Ghana (10 Mar. 2000). Save the Children assisted in drafting the Children's Act, 1998, and helped ensure its passage through the Ghanaian parliament (SCF n.d.). The Programme Director emphasized that this information is anecdotal and not based on thorough research.
