Please find attached two documents that briefly describe refugee determination in Eastern Caribbean states. Both reports state that the few persons requesting asylum or refugee status in the islands of the Eastern Caribbean undergo a review or interview by a United Nations official acting on behalf of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
