Whether Mendoza-based Radio Nihuil aired a program in October 1999 regarding alleged corruption within the National Transportation Regulation Commission (Comisión Nacional de Regulación del Transporte, CNRT) and related abuse by the Federal Police (Policía Federal Argentina, PFA) [ARG36692.E]

In a 28 March 2001 interview, a representative of Mendoza-based broadcaster Radio Nihuil stated that there were two reports referring to alleged corruption within the National Transportation Regulation Commission (Comisión Nacional de Regulación del Transporte, CNRT) aired during the month of October 1999. The first, broadcast on 17 October 1999, served as an introduction to the main report, which was aired the following day. In the 17 October 1999 report, reference was made to an anonymous "complaint" (denuncia) of corruption within the CNRT. The second report, broadcast on 18 October 1999, further discussed the issue of alleged corruption within this organization. According to the representative, who could not provide details on the nature of the alleged corruption, both reports were in a news format, and there was no mention of the Federal Police (Policía Federal Argentina, PFA).
