Regarding the treatment of Palestinians after the Gulf War, Amnesty International Report 1992 states that thousands of people were arrested when Iraq invaded Kuwait, and targeted for arrest among other groups were Palestinians (1991, 106). On the matter of post-Gulf War treatment of Palestinians in Egypt, and whether there have been changes in the re-issue of residence permits, the DIRB is still waiting to hear from its sources and it will inform you as soon as it hears from them.
